Following the launch of their 5G services in India, Airtel and Reliance Jio have started providing 5G speeds through their current 4G prepaid and postpaid plans. Reliance Jio has launched a new add-on data pack, bringing 5G data to various existing plans under a new 5G upgrade section listed on its official website and My Jio app.
Reliance Jio 5G Data Pack Details
6GB of 5G data is included in the new 5G data pack, which will cost you Rs 61. Users can use it as an add-on data pack to access 5G services on their phones. The validity of the active prepaid plan must be taken into consideration because the pack has no validity of its own.
Currently, Reliance Jio offers 5G services starting at Rs 239 across all of its existing prepaid plans. This means that you can already use Jio 5G services if you have an active data plan that costs you Rs. 239 or more than that.
You can use this Rs. 61 data pack with recharge packs that are priced below Rs 239. This includes the prepaid plans priced at Rs. 119, Rs. 149, Rs. 179, Rs. 199, and Rs. 209. You can not use this data pack for anything other than these 5 data plans.
Users must be living in one of the cities where Reliance Jio 5G services are active now, the company has already made this clear. In addition to that, users must receive a Jio Welcome Offer invite in order to use the plan and Jio 5G services.
Rs 61 is not a 5G plan, it’s a 5G Data Pack
The Rs. 61 add-on pack for selected prepaid plans is a 5G data add-on pack, and this is very important to understand. It is not a stand-alone plan. It does not come with any additional benefits, such as unlimited calling and SMS. And it does not have a particular expiration date. In essence, you can’t just simply recharge your phone with the Rs 61 5G upgrade plan and start using Reliance Jio 5G services.
Where Can You Get The Rs. 61 5G Data Pack & How To Recharge
This Rs. 61 add-on data pack is available on both Jio’s official website and the My Jio app. To recharge with this pack, open the My Jio app and select the Rs. 61 plan under the 5G upgrade section.
